A LINE MINI App is a web app that runs inside LINE. It is built with LINE's LIFF technology, needs no installation, and signs customers in with their LINE account. Compared with a regular LIFF web app, a LINE MINI App that passes LINE's review and is verified can be found through search in LINE and can send service notifications after a customer action. A native app must be downloaded but can use push notifications, background location, Bluetooth and other phone features. Frequent, lightweight services such as membership cards, points, bookings and ordering usually start as a LINE MINI App; a native app makes sense when you need heavy device features or your own branded entry point.
Real projects LINE, membership and ticketing work
LINE MINI Apps are built with LIFF. Below are the LIFF member services we developed, along with membership, points, ticketing and ordering features that often go into a LINE MINI App.
Since 2025Hotel group
Member services inside LINE, with no separate app to download, and data kept in the hotel's own membership system.
Since 2025GoodParty
An event platform built around digital business cards. Merchants manage coupon claiming and redemption in the back office, with on-site scanning that verifies coupons in real time and prevents forgery; park tickets were added later.
2026Food-tech company
Earning and redeeming points, e-payment integration, and a meal pre-ordering system for company staff, with the app and web version sharing one back end.
Department store group
Topping up and redeeming member points, with ongoing maintenance and changes plus yearly vulnerability scans and report review.
Since 2023Mitsui Cuisine
We built the member app's back end and connected it to the existing systems.
Automotive group
Rental, car-sharing, charging and other services brought under one membership, connected across brands with single sign-on.

Use cases What fits a LINE MINI App
Features customers use several times a week but would never download an app for are the best fit for a LINE MINI App.
Sign up and sign in with LINE, show a member barcode in store, with one member record across stores and online.
Earn and redeem points, claim coupons and redeem them in store, with no coupon used twice.
Pick a store, service and time slot, with reminders and changes handled inside LINE.
Scan a table or door QR code to order; orders go to the store system and customers are told when food is ready.
Event tickets, park passes and vouchers shown in LINE and scanned on site, verified in real time against forgery.
Members, points and orders return to your POS, CRM or e-commerce through APIs, with no extra copy of the data.
Compare LINE MINI App vs LIFF vs native app
Each uses different technology and suits different situations. Many brands start with a LINE MINI App and decide on a native app later.

| Sign-in | LINE MINI App: LINE account | LIFF: LINE account | Native app: Your own accounts, or third-party sign-in such as LINE |
| How it is found | LINE MINI App: Searchable in LINE once verified | LIFF: Needs the official account or links | Native app: Store search and your own marketing |
| Notifying customers | LINE MINI App: Service notifications after a customer action, once verified | LIFF: Messages from the official account | Native app: Push notifications |

| Best for | LINE MINI App: Membership, points, bookings, ordering, tickets | LIFF: A single campaign or form in the official account | Native app: Frequent use, device features or your own entry point |
Process How we build it
The screens are not the hard part. Members, points and orders must match what stores and e-commerce see. Every phase ends with something you can accept.
2–4 weeks
Review the LINE official account and LINE Developers setup, which features come first, and which system is the source of truth for members, points and orders.
Depends on scope
Screens follow LINE MINI App design guidelines. A clickable prototype is tried by store and marketing staff before sign-off.
6 weeks–6 months
Front end, admin and APIs are built together and connected to POS, membership or payments. We self-check the guidelines before LINE's review; review timing is set by LINE.
Ongoing
Monitor sign-in, redemption and order errors, and adjust for LINE platform updates and campaigns. The same team stays responsible.
Pricing Price ranges
Estimates based on custom app and system projects in Taiwan in 2026. The final figure depends on the number of features, the systems to connect and whether an admin back office is needed.
| Scope | Price range | Typical content | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Requirements review | NT$100k–300k | Review of accounts, features and data flows, producing a comparable spec | 2–4 weeks |
| Single feature | NT$500k–1.2M | One of membership card, points or bookings, with a simple admin | 6–12 weeks |
| Full-featured | NT$1.2M–3M | Membership, points, coupons, bookings or ordering, payments and a full admin | 3–6 months |
| Connect existing systems | NT$50k–200k per integration point | Data sync with POS, CRM, e-commerce or a loyalty platform | Depends on the other system's API |
LINE official account messaging plans, payment fees and cloud hosting are billed by usage. Post-launch maintenance is a separate agreement.
FAQ Common questions
Based on custom projects in Taiwan in 2026: one feature such as a membership card, points or bookings is about NT$500k–1.2M; membership, points, coupons, bookings or ordering with payments and a full admin is about NT$1.2M–3M; each existing system connected (POS, CRM, e-commerce) is about NT$50k–200k. LINE messaging and payment fees are extra.
A LINE MINI App is built with LIFF too. Once it passes LINE's review and is verified, it can be found through search in LINE and can send service notifications after a customer action. A regular LIFF web app needs no review, but customers have to arrive through the official account menu or a link.
For frequent, lightweight services such as membership cards, points, bookings and ordering, start with a LINE MINI App so customers can use it without downloading anything. Consider a native app when you need push notifications, Bluetooth, background location or your own branded entry point. Both can share one membership system and admin.
Member, points and transaction data live in your own membership system; the LINE account is only used to sign in and identify the customer. Store POS, e-commerce and LINE then see the same data, and it stays with you if you add channels or a native app later.
Verification, which enables search in LINE and service notifications, requires LINE's review, and its timing is set by LINE. We self-check against the guidelines during development and leave time in the schedule for review and fixes.
Yes. Members, points and orders are written back to your POS, CRM or e-commerce through APIs. Without an API, file exchange or an intermediary database can work, but reliability and maintenance cost are assessed first.
